Tim R. McAdams is a Stunt Coordinator, Stunt Driver, Stunt Performer, and Actor with over 35 years of experience in the Performing Arts Industry. Tim has been a member of SAG/AFTRA since 1987 and has worked in the Stunt community since 2004. He began his career at the age of eight as a Theatre performer in the Washington, DC area. He received his first major co-starring role on network television (NBC) in 1996 on, “Homicide Life on the Streets”. In 2004, Tim received his first Stunt/Acting role on HBO’s hit show, “The Wire”. He instantly fell in love with the Stunt Community. Since then, Tim has performed in many ofthe largest television and film productions in history. These include, “Black Panther”, “Avengers, Infinity
War & End Game”, “Suicide Squad”, “Big Mamas House”, “Fast and Furious”, “MacGyver”, “NCIS” and many more. He has performed as the stunt double for superstars, such as Ludacris (Chris Bridges), Martin Lawrence, Leslie Odom, Jr, Carl Anthony Payne II and others.
Over the years, Tim has served as assistant to the Stunt Coordinator assisted on many projects. Even when the official title was not given, the role was clear. Tim has always been more than willing to offer his leadership and experience to assist in making the team and production successful.
Tim’s career as a Stunt Coordinator began when he was asked to take over as the Coordinator of Netflix all-star film, “They Cloned Tyrone”, starring Jamie Foxx and John Boyega. Tim has since coordinated multiple projects, including: Tubi‘s feature, “Cinnamon”, starring Damon Wayans & Pam Grier, three seasons of AllBlk’s hit series, “Wicked City”, starring Vanessa Bell Calloway and most recently, Tyler Perry’s “Young Dylan”. Though Tim is still very passionate about working as a Stunt Performer, he truly enjoys the impact he makes as a coordinator. Coordinating has allowed him to bring his 20 years of experience in the Stunt industry, along with 30 years of experience in Executive level leadership to the table. These attributes assure that productions can deliver
exciting/dynamic stunt/action sequences in a safe and efficient manner!
Tim is also a seasoned Actor and enjoys the opportunity to perform in front of the camera. His favorite roles are when he gets the opportunity to perform as a Stunt-Actor. He describes this as, “The Best of Both Worlds”, Acting and Action. In recent years,
Tim has also become known as one of the premiere African American Stunt Drivers in the southeast region. His ongoing training and seat time with Dynamic Stunts has allowed him to continue to hone his skills as a Stunt Driver. As a result, Tim has had the opportunity to work as a Stunt Driver around the world in recent years.
Tim is an all-around artist, bringing veteran experience as an Actor, Stunt Performer, Stunt Driver, Stunt Coordinator and Leader to every set. His vast experience in the industry, coupled with his extensive business background and people management skills, makes him an extraordinary asset to any team.
